The
Southern Ontario Sprints combined efforts with the
Ontario Dirt Late Models in taking part in the 2nd
Annual CPT Racing Experience in London on January 24th
and 25th. Fans young and old had a chance to see Adam
Wests' #30 sprint car and his #92 Late Model up close
as well as the #15 of Mike Ferrell. Youngsters
also had a chance to colour their own race cars, play
games and take home free posters. The entire event was
a huge success. The SOS would like to thank the many
fans who stopped by as well as the Adam West Racing
and Mike Ferrell Racing team and families for their
hard work and dedication to making the display
happen!
Both
race teams took part in a head to head go-kart
challenge which ended in controversy. Adam West
and Neil McKay of the #30 team raced Mike Ferrell and
Mike Dougherty of the #15 team in an all out grudge
match. Officials however ended the race because of an
on-track altercation. Having never seen real racing
before, the officials (weekly paved track flagmen) had
no idea what to do but declare the race over. A
rematch is scheduled for the near future.
