2nd Annual “VILLAGE PIZZA - OHSWEKEN SHOOTOUT” TO RUN FRIDAY NIGHT September 15th

Ohsweken Speedway is pleased to be able to announce the running of the 2nd Annual “Village Pizza - Ohsweken Shootout” September 15th, the night before the “Canadian Sprint Car Nationals”. The twelve car, ten lap event will feature three entries from each of the four sanctioning bodies competing at the track in 2006 in a head to head showdown. The winner will pocket $500.
Qualifiers for the “Village Pizza - Ohsweken Shootout” will be held at Ohsweken throughout the season. During the first race that each of the series appears in at Ohsweken in 2006, the top three “A” Main finishers who are regular members of that series and can attend the September 15th Shootout, will qualify.
Qualifiers scheduled are as follows:
Southern Ontario Sprints Friday, May 19th
Empire Super Sprints Friday, June 23rd
ASCS Patriot Sprint Group Friday, July 14th
ASCS Sprints On Dirt Friday, August 25th
In the event of a rain-out, the qualifier will be the next scheduled program for that series at Ohsweken in the case of the Southern Ontario Sprints. If only one event has been scheduled for a series (ESS; PSG; SOD), the qualifying positions will go to the top point holders in that series as of September 5th. All entries for the “Village Pizza - Ohsweken Shootout” must be registered for the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals in order to compete.
Starting positions for the “Village Pizza - Ohsweken Shootout” will be determined by draw with the order for each group established among the highest qualifier from each series.
Series A will draw 1st 5th and 9th
Series B will draw 2nd 6th and 10th
Series C will draw 3rd 7th and 11th
Series D will draw 4th 8th and 12th
The “Village Pizza - Ohsweken Shootout” will be run prior to the Friday night feature events.
