SOS
AT '06 PERFORMANCE WORLD
|
|
This past weekend the 2006 Performance World Car Show was held in Toronto at the International Center. The SOS had a large display, which included the sprinters of Glenn Styres, Bob McDonald (car owner Ray Ballantyne) and Rob Pietz. Also included in the display was the Can-Am midget simulator owner by McDonald. This was a very popular attraction for the kids.
In all it was a very successful weekend for the SOS. Our display attracted lots of attention all weekend long. Over 1800 SOS schedules were handed out along with information provided by Brighton, Ohsweken and South Buxton Speedways. Congratulations goes out to one of our 2006 SOS rookie Rob Pietz, as his sprinter won the Best-In-Class award.
Special thanks to show coordinator Al Gaukel, car owners Ray Ballantyne, Rob Pietz and Glenn Styres, Ken and Cheryl Pelkie and another 2006 SOS rookie Bob McDonald, who spent many hours manning his simulator entertaining the kids. I’d also like to thank all those that visited our display during the 3-day show and look forward to seeing each of you at the track this season.
London Speedorama
The SOS will also have a display in the London Speedorama show which will run from March 24 – 26. If you get a chance, stop by and say hello and pick up a copy of this years schedule card and poster.
