Tickets will be available for
the SOS Quilt for Cancer during the Canadian Sprint Car
Nationals - Sept 15/16.
You do not have to look far to find someone who has been
affected by cancer. This evil disease has in one way or
another affected everybody. Just in this past season the SOS
membership has been touched by cancer directly. With this
motivation we have tried to take a pro-active approach to
beat this disease by trying to raise money by raffling off a
one of a kind quilt.
The quilt is now complete and is truly a treasured
collectible of the 2005 season. With drivers autographs,
this is truly a one of a kind article. The embrodery work
was donated by Deb at DB Embrodery and is amazing. The quilt
work was donated by Henny Van Kooten. She has done an
excellent job at putting the quilt together. Many thanks to
Cliff and Jane Williams for donating the print work for the
tickets. Material for the quilt itself was donated by Watson
Racing.
The draw for this quilt will take place at the SOS banquet
on November 11, 2006.
100% of all ticket sales will be donated to the Canadian
Cancer Society in memory of Marie White.
