SOS ANNOUNCES MEDIA
OFFICER
The Southern Ontario Sprints is pleased to announce that effective immediately, Ken Pelkie will be joining the SOS in the role of Media Officer. This is extremely exciting news for the SOS as Pelkie brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in the world of sprint car racing that would be hard to rival. The previous Media Officer Bill Oldroyd will now be free to focus his efforts in his new role as SOS President.
Pelkie is very well known in the sprint car racing circles. During the past several years he has traveled across North America attending sprint car races and is probably best known for his work in the area of photography. More recently, Pelkie has become more involved in the promotion and organizational side of the sport. His involvement with the Sprints on Dirt during the past two years has given him experience in almost every aspect of sprint car racing. Pelkie also organized the biggest sprint car race in Canadian history last season taking on the role of Promoter for the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals last September at Ohsewken Speedway. Plans are already well underway for the 2006 event and Pelkie will once again lead the way.
This is a very positive step forward for the SOS as we prepare for the launch of the 2006 season. Pelkie will be a welcomed addition to the SOS staff! We look forward to working together to grow the SOS in the coming years.
