The
Calm... Before The Storm

With
less then one month left until the SOS and Brighton Speedway
season opener there is plenty going on to prepare for the
Saturday May 1st event. Despite an abundance of rain
this past week the staff at Brighton
have been hard at work.
have been hard at work.
Among
the list of upgrades at the track include new washrooms, a
refreshed canteen area, and a brand new pit
entrance/fence. Promoter Mark Rinaldi is excited and
hopeful that 2004 will see much success. With a strong
field of SOS drivers planning on attending the season opener
it is just a sign of things to come.

The pit
entrance and fencing in turns 3 and 4 is coming together
even with the recent rains. This is just one of
many improvements taking place for 2004. |
Brighton
Speedways regular shows should see increased car counts in all
divisions especially the tracks headline class the Canadian
Mods. A handful of newcomers to the weekly top
division will combine with the returning veterans to make for
a competitive season.
The
Southern Ontario Sprints visit the facility for 6 events in
2004 starting on Saturday May 1st. They return on June
5th, July 10th, July 31st and twice in one weekend for the 2nd
Annual Labour Day Classic on September 4th and 5th. With
strong corporate support this year the Labour Day Classic
should prove to be the big event of the season at the Brighton
Speedway.
Free
camping is available to all teams and fans for all events at
the speedway.
